October Event: Organizational Change Leadership - Crucial Conversations with Sponsors

We're excited to co-sponsor this event with the Ohio chapter of the Association of Change Management Professionals (ACMP)!

Research shows that Effective Sponsorship is the #1 predictor of projects achieving their goals. For this reason, a key success factor for change managers is to ensure the sponsor understands the criticality of their role, and they are equipped and confident in fulfilling the role. Sounds simple enough!

However, we are often challenged with limited access to our sponsors. Therefore, when we do meet with them, we need those conversations to really count!

We invite you to join us October 17 to hear Debra Stets and Sue Dolloff discuss how they apply key components from Crucial Conversations and Stephen Covey’s 7 Habits to their conversations with sponsors. Sue and Deb are both ACMP Ohio Chapter board members and passionate change managers with many sponsor experiences and stories to tell! Additionally, Deb is a certified trainer in both Crucial Conversations and Covey’s 7 Habits. However, please note with 90 minutes, we will focus on just a few highlights of these practices.

The evening will include role plays! After Sue and Deb role play a Crucial Sponsor Conversation for us, we’ll all have the chance to practice with some common sponsor scenarios that will be provided.

Come join us for some fun and learning!

Here's a video from the Project Management Institute (PMI) that highlights project success statistics when sponsors are engaged. It's about a minute long. Take a look!
